EEO seems to be under severe pressure from their sponsors that prefer to remain anonymous.
Another Caribbean was hastily sold off to the transfer market today. Damon Tatlock from the Bahamas. He was replaced by another German talent, 25 year old Jan Arens.
Being asked, if this made sense, Eli replied:
"No. Commercially, it is a nightmare. We invested a lot in Damon and we do not get this money back. Jan is the 4th rider we are training concurrently. Training is always expensive and a gamble."
He added:"On the other hand, it gives me a challenge in management and I badly needed it. And our sponsors are happy. Although they do not pay anything yet."
A big Thanks to Damon. His 2nd and 3rd in Roubaix Classic were our best Classics results ever.
This also means that the era of cobble races ends now for EEO.
